There is tremendous benefit in performing CARDIO via strength-training movements particularly if it involves either external load (weights, cables) or body-weight strength exercises. The results are high caloric expenditure and fat loss, as well as reducing the chances of losing valuable muscle mass.
This program consists of combination-lifts which are a tremendous tool for metabolic training, and therefore includes two categories. (1) Hybrids are a morph of two movements into one exercise, and (2) Complexes are two or more exercises where all repetitions are performed in a "giant set". Complete the first exercise and (immediately after, with no rest in between) the second, third and/or fourth exercise.
Because of the nature and sequence of the movements and non-typical exercise patterns, this program is specifically designed for individuals who desire to train on the advanced or elite levels.
Resistance (load) is based on individual’s initial strength.
Barbell Hybrids + Complexes = 25, 30, 35, 40, or 45lbs
Dumbbell Hybrids + Complexes = 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, or 45lbs
